Day 2 Challenge
Today’s challenge is to find out what happens to your mixed recycling and where it goes to get sorted.
You put all your paper, cardboard, empty plastic bottles, yoghurt pots, drinks cans, food tins and aerosol cans into the recycling bin at home. But have you ever wondered what happens after your wheelie bin is emptied into the back of the truck every fortnight?
How do all the different materials get sorted out so that they can be made into new products?
